Do you need to shut the site down for a Live Operational Survey™?

No — the whole point is zero downtime. Thermal imaging must be done with the installation live and under normal load, and power-quality logging only produces meaningful data while the site is trading. We work around your operation, needing only covers removed for a clear line of sight, which we arrange with your maintenance team. Picks keep happening and racks stay powered throughout.

What does the power-quality element actually measure?

We install a logger to BS EN 61000-4-30 for a monitoring period — typically seven days — and capture harmonics (total harmonic distortion), voltage sags and dips, swells, flicker, phase unbalance and transients. Results are graded against the EN 50160 supply-voltage envelope, so you get a clear pass/fail picture and the source of any disturbance affecting drives, refrigeration or IT loads.

What is the AI-assisted evidence capture?

Alongside the survey we photograph and tag every board, panel and asset, then use assisted tooling to rebuild or verify your asset register, match thermal images to circuits and flag anomalies for the reporting engineer to confirm. It speeds up reporting and gives you a searchable, dated evidence record — but every finding is reviewed and signed off by a competent person, not left to software.

Will my insurer accept a Live Operational Survey™?

Yes. The thermal element is reported to BS EN 13187 and ISO 18434 principles using radiometric cameras on a traceable calibration schedule, and the power-quality element to BS EN 61000-4-30. That is the format major property insurers such as FM Global, RSA and Zurich require or credit, and we issue the evidence pack in their preferred layout.

How is this different from a periodic EICR?

They are complementary. An EICR is a periodic inspection and test of the fixed installation coded to BS 7671; a Live Operational Survey™ is predictive maintenance run under live load — thermography, power quality and evidence capture — that finds developing faults between inspections without any shutdown. Our findings feed directly into remedial work coded against BS 7671.
