Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 July 2026

These terms apply to this website and to enquiries and booking requests. Any confirmed work is also governed by the written quote, scope or booking confirmation we provide. If documents conflict, the specific written terms agreed for the job take priority.

Company information

Polarity Electrics London Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 14815445. Registered office: 7 Bell Yard, London, WC2A 2JR. Contact info@polarityelectrics.com or 0203 908 4790.

Quotes, estimates and contracts

Website prices, calculators and descriptions are general information and are not binding offers. A booking request does not create a contract. A contract starts when we confirm the scope, price or pricing basis, date and material terms in writing and you accept them. We explain any material variation and obtain agreement before carrying out additional chargeable work, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to make an unsafe situation safe.

Consumer cancellation rights

If you are a consumer and agree a service contract at a distance or away from our business premises, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right. We provide the required cancellation information with the contract where it applies. If you expressly ask us to begin during that period, you may have to pay for work completed before cancellation. The right may be lost once a service is fully performed after your express request and acknowledgement. Emergency repair rules may differ. These terms do not reduce statutory consumer rights.

Access, safety and customer responsibilities

We may stop, postpone or refuse work where conditions are unsafe, unlawful, materially different from those described, or outside the competence or certification required.

Electrical reports and certificates

Inspection and test results reflect the accessible installation and conditions at the time of inspection, within the agreed scope and relevant limitations. Concealed, inaccessible or excluded parts are not treated as inspected. Reports identify observations and recommendations; they are not guarantees against every future fault. Certificates are issued only for work we carried out or verified. The online verifier provides convenience information, while the issued document and our controlled records remain authoritative.

Payment and cancellations

Payment timing, deposits, cancellation charges and materials are stated in the quote or booking confirmation. Any cancellation charge must reflect the contract and costs reasonably incurred, subject to applicable consumer law. Statutory rights and remedies remain unaffected.

Website information and links

We take reasonable care but do not promise that general guidance, coverage information or third-party links are complete or suitable for a particular property. Postcode coverage indicates normal operating areas, not guaranteed availability. External services, including Setmore and WhatsApp, operate under their own terms.

Liability

Nothing excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, liability is assessed under the contract and applicable law. We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information, unauthorised access, pre-existing defects, excluded or inaccessible installation parts, or events outside reasonable control.

Complaints and disputes

Please contact us promptly so we can investigate. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers keep any mandatory right to bring proceedings in another UK jurisdiction where applicable.
